Technical features
Australian Data Centres' data centres are designed to
Tier 3+ standards with a typical availability
rating of 99.98%. The energy efficient facilities
are modular in design and construction to
allow expansion and fittings specific to
individual clientele requirements.
All major systems and pathways are
concurrently maintainable, therefore critical
UPS, diesel generator and air conditioning
support will still be available to IT equipment
while maintenance is carried out on other
pathways and critical components. IT
equipment will not be shutdown during
maintenance provided they are of dual
cord design.
The data suites will be designed to meet
specific requirements with customised
solutions in size, power availability and
cooling. The Australian Data Centres model is carrier
and services neutral allowing flexibility
for business requirements.
There is on-site technical support
available 24 hours a day, seven days
a week, 365 days a year.
Power and cooling
The data suites are designed to a
minimum of 1000 watts of power (and
cooling) per square metre. The technical
space is designed to monitor and maximise
efficiency in power and cooling. Technical
specifications include hot aisle/cold aisle
eight tile pitch planning, air curtain
devices to mitigate short circuits, and
effective management of raised floor
outlets to maintain static pressure.
The power is supplied by two separate
and redundant incoming mains, the supply
is spatially segregated. There is a primary
and redundant UPS and a standby generator
system with 36 hours of fuel supply.
Interior space
The interior features a secure loading
dock, staging room for customer testing,
meeting and planning rooms, short term
storage and packing areas, and a
refreshment area.
Office Space
Office space is available in each facility with secure access to the Data Centre suites.
